Biomechanical testing

£POA

Biomechanical testing encompasses answering questions about how horses move under different conditions. Examples could include investigating the difference in limb pro and retraction between two different saddle types, the difference in deceleration of the metacarpal bone when landing from a jump on two different surface preparations or the difference in stride length when wearing two different boot types. Our capabilities include, but are not limited to measuring the actual movement (kinematics) either in two or three dimensions, measuring the deceleration of a limb segment or hoof as it contacts the ground or measuring the muscle activity during movement.
